Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Overview Workshop

March 14, 2018   9am - 3 pm

This one day training is targeted to those needing an understanding of the Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and the regulatory rules that make up the new Food Safety Modernization Act.  This is an introductory workshop suitable for all individual in the food and allied industries and is presented fro a basic standpoint.

The  workshop will review the following areas:

  • Introduction and a Brief History of Food Safety Regulations
  • The cGMPs and the Current Revision
  • Operating Procedures to comply with the cGMPs
  • What to expect during a cGMP inspection
  • Overview of the Food Safety Modernization Act
  • The Preventive Controls for Huma Foods Rule
  • Biological, Chemical and Physical Hazards
  • Record keeping and Recall plans
  • The Produce Safety Standards Rule

Registration is required and the class cost if $25 for lunch
